Your Marrakech private tour guide will meet you at your Riad/hotel at 09:30 before joining the driver for an interesting Marrakech guided tour around the new town “Ville Nouvelle” of Marrakech. Drive through the Gueliz district that was built by the French when Morocco was a protectorate from 1912 to 1956 with its high buildings, car rental offices, travel agencies, branded shops, restaurants, and administrations.

Have an enjoyable time at the botanical gardens of Majorelle. This small oasis on earth consists of more than one hectare and is a famous attraction among artists. It was created by the French Jacques Majorelle who devoted most of his life collecting plants from all over the world including the most exotic ones turning it into a paradise.

We will drive back to the Medina (old town) to include a short break by the Koutoubia Mosque, which is the landmark of Marrakech. The minaret of the mosque is the highest building in the city to the extent it can be seen from different locations. The history behind this masterpiece of architecture goes back to the 12th century when the Almohad dynasty put the premise of an Islamic structure to be adopted, later on, as an example for raising religious buildings throughout the world.

Later, we will have a guided walking tour around the landmarks of the Medina covering the 15th century Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace, Sidi Said Museum, and much more before getting to the bustling Souks of Marrakech Medina that are divided into sections.

Our Marrakech Medina walking tour will come to an end in Jemaa el-Fna Square (the focal point of Marrakech). This famous square turns, in the evening, into a carnival filled with snake charmers, acrobats, storytellers, magicians, musicians, fortunetellers, and food stalls serving Moroccan delicacies.
